Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 August 2026
This policy explains what HexBid collects and how we handle it. Contact: dogoq.business@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Information you submit: your brand/business name, destination link URL or @handle, logo (a URL or the icon fetched from your site), and bid amounts.
- Payment information: card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details; we receive the order confirmation and the bid metadata needed to place your content. As merchant of record, HexBid keeps transaction records for accounting, tax, and dispute purposes.
- Automatically collected: basic usage analytics via Google Analytics 4 (e.g. pages viewed, device type, approximate location) and standard hosting logs via Google Firebase.
- Identifiers: your listing is keyed to your brand’s domain or @handle so repeat bids add to the same total.
How we use it
To operate the map and its rankings, publicly display your logo and link, process payments through Stripe, measure usage, and prevent abuse.
Public display
Your submitted brand name, logo, and link are shown publicly on the map while your listing is displayed. Do not submit anything you do not want to be public.
Sharing
We share data only with providers that run the Service: Stripe (payment processing), Google (Analytics), and Google Firebase / Cloud (hosting and database). We do not sell personal data.
Referral / affiliate program
If you take part in our referral program — as a referrer or by arriving through someone’s referral link — we also handle:
- Referrer email. When you create a referral link you give us an email address. We use it to issue and de-duplicate your link, to record and (later) pay your earnings, and to contact you about payouts. It is your key to the program — there is no separate account. We keep it while you have a link or accrued earnings, and as long as needed for our transaction, tax, and dispute records.
- Coarse user-agent in the visit log. When a visitor lands on a referral link, we append an anonymous row to a visit log (the link code and a truncated, coarse user-agent string). We do not store the IP address or other personal identifiers here. It is used only as an anti-fraud / bot signal and to count link visits, and is retained as part of that anti-abuse and funnel record.
- First-touch attribution identifier. When you arrive through a referral link, your browser stores a small first-touch identifier in localStorage (the referral code, for up to ~90 days) so a later purchase can be credited to the referrer who shared the link. It lives in your own browser, is not tied to your identity, and you can clear it any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
Your rights & retention
Submitted content persists while it is displayed and as transaction records. You may request access to or deletion of your data by emailing dogoq.business@gmail.com. The Service is not directed to children.
