Referral Program Terms
Version 1.0 · Effective 26 August 2026
These Referral Program Terms govern HexBid’s referral (affiliate) program. They add to, and are part of, the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By creating a referral link or taking part in the program you agree to them. The program is operated by HexBid (“HexBid”, “we”, “us”). Questions: dogoq.business@gmail.com.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) and able to enter a binding agreement.
- You take part using an email address you control — there is no account or password. That email is the sole proof of ownership of your link and your earnings, so use one you will keep. Anyone who can send from that inbox can act as you.
- The program is void where prohibited, and is not open to anyone we are barred from paying under applicable sanctions or law.
- We may decline, suspend, or remove any participant at our discretion, including for the conduct described below.
Definitions
- Referral link. The unique link (for example
hexbid.app/go/your-name) we issue for your email. - Referred brand. A brand (identified by its domain or profile, the same way the map keys a listing) whose first completed purchase is attributed to your link. Attribution is first-touch: the first referral link a visitor arrives through, within the attribution window, gets the credit.
- Sale. A completed, paid HexBid bid by a referred brand that is not refunded, charged back, or otherwise reversed.
- Lifetime binding. Once a referred brand’s first Sale is attributed to your link, that brand is bound to you, and every later Sale by the same brand also earns you a commission — for as long as the program runs and the binding stands. Bindings are one-to-one: a brand can be bound to only one referrer, and the first attributed Sale sets it.
- Earning. A commission of 40% of the agreed base of a Sale, recorded to your email when the Sale completes.
How earnings accrue
When a Sale completes, an Earning of 40% is recorded and begins to accrue to your email. Accrual means the Earning is logged; it does not mean it is payable yet. An accrued Earning becomes payable only after it clears the hold and the conditions below are met. We may correct, adjust, or reverse an Earning to fix an error, a duplicate, or a reversed Sale.
Payout — hold, verification, review & minimum
Payout is not automatic when an Earning accrues. Before any money is paid, each Earning is subject to all of the following:
- A holding period. Each Earning is held 30–60 days after the Sale to let refund and chargeback windows pass. Earnings on Sales that are refunded, disputed, or reversed during (or after) the hold do not pay out.
- Identity & tax verification. Before your first payout you must complete identity verification and provide the tax information we need to pay you lawfully (for example a W-9 or W-8, handled by our payments provider). We may withhold payout until this is complete.
- Fraud & concentration review. Earnings may be reviewed for fraud and for abnormal concentration before release (see below).
- A minimum payout threshold. A minimum cleared balance is required before a payout is issued. The current minimum and the payout schedule are shown when cash-out opens.
Cash-out is not yet open. When it opens you will confirm your email, verify your identity and tax details, and choose how to be paid; cleared Earnings above the minimum are paid from there.
Withholding, voiding & clawback
We may withhold, reduce, void, or claw back (recover, including by offset against future Earnings) any Earning — before or after it is paid — where we reasonably determine that:
- the underlying Sale was refunded, charged back, disputed, or otherwise reversed;
- the Earning arose from fraud, fake or manipulated traffic, or abuse of the program or these Terms;
- there is abnormal concentration — for example a single referrer tied to an outsized share of high-value bindings — pending or following review; or
- the Earning was recorded in error, duplicated, or resulted from a bug.
These rights are in addition to any other remedy available to us, and applying them is not a waiver of any term.
Taxes are your responsibility
Any payout is gross, and you are solely responsible for all taxes on what you earn and for reporting it correctly. We are not your employer or partner, and amounts paid are not wages. Where required, we (or our payments provider) may report payouts to tax authorities and issue the corresponding tax forms; you must give accurate tax information, and we may apply backup or other withholding required by law.
What’s not allowed
- No spam. Do not share your link through unsolicited email, DMs, comment spam, misleading ads, or anywhere against a platform’s rules.
- No trademark-squatting or impersonation. Do not register vanity link names, or promote your link, in a way that impersonates HexBid or any brand, or that squats on someone else’s trademark. Do not imply an endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership that does not exist.
- Disclose that you earn. When you share your link you must make clear that you earn a commission — a plain note such as “affiliate link” or “I earn a commission” is required by advertising rules (e.g. the U.S. FTC).
- No bots, scraping, incentivized clicks, cookie-stuffing, or other manipulation of attribution.
Breaking any of these may void affected Earnings and end your participation.
Changes & ending the program
The program is offered at our discretion. We may change the commission rate, the hold, the minimum, these Terms, or any part of the program, and we may pause or end the program, at any time; material changes take effect when posted here. We will honor Earnings already cleared under the terms in effect when the underlying Sale occurred. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Development & demo earnings are excluded
Earnings created in test, development, or demo environments (including any “demo”-flagged records) are for testing only. They are not real, not payable, and carry no value. Only Earnings from genuine, completed Sales on the live service are eligible for payout.
Revision history
